42nd Street Moon

Mainstage Productions

Each season seems to bring us more excitement, more fun, and more great theatre than the last—and our 27th Season is no exception! Whether it’s a sultry and swinging take on Gilbert and Sullivan, a hilarious farce hot off of Broadway, one of the Golden Age’s greatest musicals, the return of San Francisco’s newest Christmas tradition, or the launching of two incredible new mainstage programs, Moon’s 2019-2020 season is out of this world, and we want you to come along for the ride!
— Daren A.C. Carollo & Daniel Thomas, Executive Directors, 42nd Street Moon

In addition to being entertaining and emotional, theatre is an educational experience! MoonSchool at 42nd Street Moon aims to educate before, during, and after the theatre experience. We offer Family & Student Matinee performances of each mainstage production, as well as supplementary resources and school outreach opportunities!

At Saturday, 1pm Matinees, our patrons under 18 and college students with a valid ID can see a show for $10! For kids, there will be an intermission activity, a post-show Q&A, an autograph session with the cast, and more. Performances take place at the Gateway Theatre: 215 Jackson Street
